Pubic Service Commission Information

What is the Public Service Commission (PSC)?

The Georgia Public Service Commission (PSC) is a governing agency that regulates rates and services provided by most intrastate, investor-owned telecommunications, natural gas and electric utilities operating in Georgia and pipeline safety regulations.

What does the PSC do?

The mission of the Georgia Public Service Commission is to exercise its authority and influence to ensure that you the consumers receive safe, reliable and reasonably priced telecommunications, electric and natural gas services from financially viable and technically competent companies.

How does the PSC impact you?

The PSC’s decisions impact the most basic aspects of everyday life, from making a phone call to flipping a light switch to cooking dinner and heating or cooling your home.

What can you do to make a difference at the PSC?

The public service commission is a statewide position, so every vote counts. Early voting begins October 15, 2018 for Public Service Commissioner, District 5.  Dawn will be on every ballot, in every precinct, in every county. With your help we can put the PUBLIC back on the Georgia PSC!
